Taking Care of Your Domino Table
Playing Surface
Premio Domino Tables are easy to care for, they don't require a lot of work to
keep them looking good. When the top needs cleaning we suggest a good quality
glass cleaner and if it starts to lose the slick feeling or if the domino
spinners leave a 'hazy' look on the resin just clean it with window cleaner and
then apply a thin film of car wax. We use Nu-Finish brand because it is easy
and fast and lasts a long time, but you can use your favorite wax.
The UV light in sunlight can darken the resin of your top and fade your
graphic, try to avoid
exposure to direct sunlight.
Wood Finish
The wood finish can be cleaned with a soft damp (not wet) cloth and we suggest
using water with a few drops of Palmolive liquid soap for dishes because it
won't
leave streaks. You can wipe it dry with a soft cloth if you want. Don't use
too much soap and you'll leave it clean with less work. You can apply
furniture polish if you like but it is not necessary and it will eventually
build up and be a mess to clean off.
We use an exterior grade of marine varnish but wood tables are intended
for indoor use. An afternoon outdoors in good weather will not hurt your
table finish but they are not intended for long term outdoor use.
Soft Tops
Soft Tops made with billiard cloth can collect dust and lint, but they are easy
to keep clean using an inexpensive clean, dry paintbrush to whisk them clean.
Dominoes with loose spinners can pull 'fuzz' from the fabric and an old
disposable razor (not sharp) can be used to de-fuzz the fabric.
