Fake Copy Bulletin # 3
This is the third time someone has copied our pictures and/or words to sell
their copies of our products. They say imitation is the sincerest form of
flattery. We do not feel flattered.
This is the image they are showing
Another Copycat! Yes, sadly there are people who may be very capable of
building your domino table (More power to 'em!) but they steal our designs and
images to promote their sales which makes us thik they might not want you to
see what their products actually look like before you buy. Once again the
products are being shown on AliBaba, but this time the fake tables claim to be
made in Plainfield Illinois, not in China. The business listed on AliBaba is
called Remnant Corp. LLC and the Owner/contact information is shown as a guy
named Eli Cruz (shame on you Eli!) who says he can add a logo or flag to your
top for no extra charge. Since adding a graphic to a tabletop costs us about
$55 and an equipment investment of roughly $8,000.00, we wonder how he does it
for 'free'. Mysteries of the Universe.
Mr. Cruz has been notified, AliBaba has been notified, the images will be
removed. We just want our clients to know about these things when we find out
because in the past we have had client who thought that we bought our tables
from some outfit in China. If we could buy tables that were anywhere near the
quality we offer we might consider it. If accurately described and priced,
there is nothing wrong with selling cheaper tables to those who want a cheaper
table. But - especially after seeing the
Chinese tables up close and personal - we are very certain that what you will
get is nothing at all like the pictures they are using to peddle their
products. We don't think that folks who are shopping for a table should be
mis-led and we especially don't like the fact that they keep stealing our
copyrighted work.
We wouldn't have to limit the number of tables we could provide for the
holidays if we were buying them already made, but we don't think that the
Christmas surprise would be a pleasant one.
